Either Via Rte. 9
These directions begin by assuming you have gotten to Amherst center, and are at the town common across the street from Amherst College.

From the intersection of Routes 116 S. and 9 at the south end of the Amherst town common, follow Rte. 116 S/ South Pleasant St. toward Hampshire College. Check your mileage. You will turn in 0.8 miles.

You will pass the Amherst Country Club golf course on the right and a large open vista on the left, then two streets in quick succession on the right, Memorial Drive and Hillcrest Ave.

Jeffrey Lane is the third street past the golf course, and turns Right off Rte. 116, 8/10th’s of a mile past the traffic lights at the town common & Amherst College. It is immediately before a fenced lawn, and a drive for “The Common School” and the Hitchcock Center at the Larch Hill Conservation Area.

If you get to a set of traffic lights at the bottom of the hill (by Mill Lane / East Hadley Rd.), you have gone too far.

Or Via Rte. 116 N
After crossing over "the Notch", you will pass Atkin’s Market at corner of Bay Rd. and rte. 116 . Immediately past Atkin’s, veer right at the Atkin’s corner, and then left in a hundred yards or so to remain on 116 N / West St. toward Amherst Ctr.

In the next two and a half miles, you will pass through 2 sets of traffic lights. After the second set of lights at Mill Lane/East Hadley Rd., as you go up hill, you will pass the Amherst DPW on the right and Bramble Hill Farm on the left. Just past the farm will be a drive and sign for the Common School and Larch Hill Conservation Area and the Hitchcock Center on the left. Turn Left 50 yds. past this drive onto Jeffrey Lane (approx. 1/3rd mile from the traffic lights @ Mill Lane, and 3 miles from Atkin’s).

On Jeffrey Lane
Jeffrey Lane is a quarter mile long.  A Common Practice is at 54 Jeffrey Lane, the last house on the left, beige with white Garage door &  trim.
Please park in the drive and follow the stone walk around the left side of the house to the office entrance in back.
